The Nationwide Caterers Association (NCASS) has become the headline sponsor of London street food exhibition, Street Food Live.

NCASS is the UK’s only Primary Authority trade association for street food and mobile caterers and, as such, is perfectly-placed to support Europe’s largest exhibition for street food traders.

Having grown rapidly over the last few years and with an annual growth rate of 30%, NCASS’s membership base currently stands at more than 3,700 caterers.

Its support to the street food and event catering industries, as well as to local authority food safety teams, led the association to win the Primary Authority Awards earlier this year, and to secure its reputation as the place where street food sellers get everything they need.

Among other benefits, NCASS provides members with hygiene and caterer training, essential (and legally-required) due diligence documentation, invaluable advice and opportunities to work. Their mission is to be relentlessly supportive, family-first people; always honest, acutely creative and resolutely dedicated to improving standards for caterers.

Bob Fox, NCASS Chairman says, “It’s really exciting to be working with Street Food Live for another year and we’re particularly thrilled to have become the headline sponsor this time. As we’re the trade association for mobile caterers and street food traders, it just makes sense to support an event that is doing so much to promote the street food industry and to help give budding traders a leg up into the community.”

During the two day event, Bob himself will be giving a talk outlining the safe, legal and profitable way to start up a street food business from scratch, called ‘On the Road to Success’. He’ll draw on the vast amount of experience he’s gained during thirty years working both as a caterer and for caterers.

Another of NCASS’s directors, Mark Laurie will also be speaking when he runs two seminars entitled ‘The Future of Street Food: Professionalism, Normalisation and Growth’, and ‘Safe, Legal and Profitable: Street Food the NCASS Way’.

More of the NCASS team will be manning their exhibition stand during Street Food Live, where event visitors will find a wealth of information on starting up in street food, trading legally and catering equipment.

Taking place at Excel London on 27th and 28th September, Street Food Live will attract over 1,500 street food vendors with an agenda to progress and innovate their businesses. And it also benefits from an extra 7-8,000 restaurants, QSRs and Food to Go outlets visiting the Takeaway & Restaurant Innovation Expo, Restaurant Tech Live and Restaurant Design next door.
