Britain's best takeaway has officially been crowned
The best takeaway in Britain has been announced, with popular curry house Lime Pickle, based in Castle Bromwich, scooping the prestigious title at this year’s 2017 British Takeaway Awards, having received over 1,000 votes from their happy customers.
Lime Pickle owner Jay Alom said: "We are absolutely blown away that Lime Pickle has won Best Takeaway in Britain.
"I would like to say a big thank you to the staff for their hard work day in, day out, ensuring our customers receive the best food and service possible. We couldn’t have got here without them or our loyal customers. We’re over the moon."
Since having launched the world’s hottest curry, which firmly put the curry house on the map, Limed Pickle has enjoyed its fair share of success over the past few years, finishing as finalists in 2015 and West Midlands regional winners in 2016.
