In December 2017, Subway launched their first ever augmented reality advertisement named “The Magic Mirror.”

Their ad could be seen at London’s King’s Cross Mainland Station, and began with live mirror footage imagery of the station. This image then slowly fades away, and transforms into a magical winter wonderland scene.

The ad was there to promote Subway’s new Festive Feast Limited Time Offer - which ran throughout December - as well as their current breakfast value offer.

Representatives for the fast food chain said they decided to create this ad in an attempt to being a little bit of “Merry Feastmas” to all their loyal consumers, by giving them a fully interactive experience that allows them to engage with the brand and the festive content.
